mc youthstar (jamie morgan-davies) was born in hammersmith west london. from a very young age he was into different musics such as jazz, rock, reggae, pop and rap. he started mcing at the age of 12 with friends, at school, pretty much all the time. three years later, he had his own pirate radio station (sweet fm). then he moved to france and immediately started playing the big cities . within a couple of years, youthstar made a name for himself and was blowing up dance floors around the country. he hooked up with elisa do brasil in 2006, and in no time the duo was playing all over, headlining the nights. in 2007, youthstar also joined "united fools", a live electro-instrumental group of 6 musicians and a computer electro music programmer. the band plays a large repertoire of world-jazz and crazy electro-rock songs, with a touch of hip-hop and drum & bass.

during this era, mc youthstar has peformed in the biggest clubs (rex club, 4sans, batofar, rockstore, triptiquk (now called "the social club), cargo club, mix club, vics club (china), the zap (brighton), se1 (london). he also played in concert venues such as cabaret sauvage, elysée montmarte, bikini and also festivals such as astropolis, millesime, regge sun ska, electromind, ripcurl pro festival...

he has played alongside international artists such as : mix master mike (beastie boys ), dilated people, roni size, andy c, dj hype, marky, grooverider, pendulum, chase & status, friction, dillinja, high contrast, shimon, tc, subfocus, bad company, uk apachi, dynamite mc, skibadee, stamina, mc id, sp mc, mc tali, jenna g, birdy nam nam, manu le malin, dee nasty, zenzile, high tone, le peuple de l'herbe...

since 2008, youthstar has integrated dirtyphonics live, bringing a whole new side to the show.
